Bluefront Equity Secures Strategic Investment from Builders Vision
Bluefront Equity secures a strategic investment from Builders Vision to support its second seafood impact fund, Bluefront Capital II.
Bluefront Equity, a Norway-based seafood investment firm, announces a new investment from Builders Vision, an impact platform founded by Lukas Walton. The investment will support Bluefront Capital II, which focuses on advancing solutions for long-term sustainability in the global seafood industry.
Bluefront’s mission is to transform the seafood supply chain into a more sustainable, accessible, and responsibly managed industry. The firm invests in companies developing innovative products, services, software, and technology that promote sustainability throughout the seafood value chain, with a focus on improving ocean health, fish welfare, and resource efficiency.
Builders Vision has invested in Bluefront’s second fund, which has already made investments in Cryogenetics and Horizon Software. The two organizations are also working together to form an Impact Advisory Council to enhance impact management and measurement efforts.
This investment marks the first partnership between Builders Vision and Bluefront, with a focus on driving systems change in the blue economy. By investing in companies that tackle challenges in fish welfare, ocean health, and sustainability, Bluefront is working towards building a sustainable future for the seafood industry.
Renowned investors from Bluefront’s first fund have also chosen to invest in Bluefront Capital II, including the Bergersen family’s Havfonn, the Steensland group, and Nordic private equity firm Cubera. International investors like Commonfund and Cambridge Associates have also shown interest in supporting Bluefront’s mission.
With a core team and industry advisors with extensive seafood industry experience, Bluefront is well-positioned to make a positive impact in the seafood value chain. The company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation is driving strong returns while ensuring long-term ocean resilience.
