BRAZIL has expanded its capacity to export beef and offal to Indonesia, clearing 21 new establishments to supply the South East Asian market.

The new approvals followed an in-person audit by Indonesia’s sanitary authority between June 27 and July 5, 2026, coordinated by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, MAPA.

The newly authorised plants are located in the states of Acre, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, São Paulo, and Tocantins.

A statement from MAPA said the approval of the audited establishments reflected the rigor of Brazil’s agricultural defense system, in addition to consolidating a relationship of high trust with the Indonesian health authorities.

“It is a strategic achievement that generates employment and income in ten Brazilian states,” a MAPA release stated.

With over 280 million inhabitants, Indonesia has emerged as a significant market for Brazilian livestock.

In 2025, Brazil exported 31,511 tonnes of beef to the South East Asian country.

In the first half of 2026 the exported volume has already reached 17,461 tonnes.

MAPA said the beef offal segment is also showing rapid growth.

In the first six months of 2026 alone, Brazilian shipments of offal to Indonesia totaled 21,191 tons. Today, Indonesia is already the second largest market for Brazilian beef offal.
