Corteva Agriscience has unveiled plans to introduce two innovative crop protection solutions aimed at combating insect damage and safeguarding crop yields. These advancements reinforce Corteva’s position as a global leader in crop protection, focused on delivering sustainable agricultural solutions to bolster productivity and enhance food security.

Introducing Goltrevo

Corteva’s novel bioinsecticide, Goltrevo, targets sap-feeding insects such as corn leafhoppers, whiteflies, and aphids, as well as chewing insects like root-feeding worms. This innovative product will be available for a wide range of crops, including corn, soybeans, fruits, and vegetables. Growers can look forward to a longer shelf life and reduced risk of resistance development.

Commercial sales of Goltrevo are expected to commence in 2027 in Latin America, subject to regulatory approval. Availability is anticipated in the United States in the early 2030s.

Introducing Varpelgo

The second product, Varpelgo, will provide effective control of chewing insects across key crops, including corn, soybeans, rice, fruits, and vegetables. Varpelgo will also feature seed-applied technology for early season protection against wireworms. Its low use rate and favorable ecological profile make it well-suited for integrated pest management programs.

Commercial sales in the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions are forecasted for the early 2030s, pending successful completion of field trials and necessary regulatory reviews. Following that, U.S. availability will be considered.
