Undercurrent is proposing the expansion of its weekly US wholesale Chilean seabass price reporting to include frozen fillet assessments alongside its existing headed-and-gutted (H&G) fish and portion coverage.

This proposed expansion reflects growing market demand for greater transparency across additional product forms within the Chilean seabass complex and further strengthens UCN’s expanding portfolio of seafood price assessments.

The UCN price assessments represent products sourced from key global suppliers and reflect spot market trade from importers to first receivers in the US wholesale market.

Pricing basis: The proposed pricing assessments will be based on ex-warehouse pricing on a $/lb basis, reflecting prevailing wholesale market values between importers and first receivers in the US market. Assessments are designed to provide consistent and representative benchmarks aligned with standard industry trading practices.

Quotation series: Pricing structures will be aligned with standard industry trade practices, covering frozen fillets from Chile and Argentina. Size categories will ensure broad market representation and relevance across key product specifications.
