Brazil has set a historic benchmark in chicken meat exports, achieving an impressive 459,000 tons in January alone. This record is supported by data from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), indicating a notable 3.6% increase from the previous year’s 443,000 tons during the same month.

The financial gains from these exports have also surpassed expectations, with revenue reaching an all-time high for January at US$874.2 million. This marks a substantial 5.8% increase compared to the US$826.4 million generated in January of the prior year.

The United Arab Emirates has emerged as the largest purchaser of Brazilian chicken, importing 44,300 tons, which represents a 14% year-over-year increase. South Africa follows closely, with imports of 36,800 tons — a striking 34% leap from the previous year. Other significant markets include:
