Overview of the Initiative

Emerging leaders in the northern beef industry are encouraged to apply for a unique supply chain experience set to take place later this year. Angus Australia, along with the Northern Territory Cattlemens Association and Teys Australia, is accepting applications for the 2026 Northern Beef Leadership Initiative, titled “Find Your Northern Edge.”

Experience the Beef Supply Chain

This immersive program, scheduled for October 26–30 in Queensland, aims to facilitate the development of the next generation of industry leaders. The initiative is tailored for 12 enthusiastic individuals aged 18-40 who wish to explore various key stages of the beef supply chain, from feedlot management and processing to export operations and global markets.

Participants will enjoy direct access to leading industry operations, including the Teys Condamine feedlot, Teys Beenleigh processing facility, and the Port of Brisbane. Attendees will engage with senior industry leaders and partake in valuable leadership development sessions.

A Valuable Opportunity

Angus Australia CEO Scott Wright highlights the importance of such programs in expanding industry knowledge. “Programs like this provide young people the opportunity to step outside the farm gate and understand the entire beef supply chain, producing more informed and capable leaders for the future of our industry,” he remarked.

Financial Support & Application Process
