Heavy-weight yearling heifers showed increased average prices by 10c/kg, while heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged about 6c/kg less. On the other hand, cows maintained stability, exhibiting firmness with a 5c/kg rise in prices.

Light-weight yearling steers to paddock fetched up to 594c, averaging 533c/kg. Yearling steers for the domestic market made to 556c, seeing most sales range between 490c and 499c/kg. Heavy-weight yearling steers averaged at 491c with a peak of 511c/kg. Light-weight yearling heifers for restockers reached 458c, predominantly falling between 407c and 424c/kg. Medium-weight yearling heifers to feed averaged at 402c, with some isolated sales hitting 465c/kg. Heavy-weight yearling heifers averaged at 424c, with top quality lines bringing as much as 468c/kg.

Cow and Bull Market Trends

Bullocks achieved prices up to 460c, averaging 434c/kg. Grown heifers were sold at an average of 448c/kg. Medium-weight 2 score cows averaged 337c and peaked at 347c/kg. Heavy-weight 3 score cows averaged 365c, with the best fetching up to 395c, leading to an average of 385c/kg. Heavy-weight bulls climbed to 407c/kg.
