YesHealth Group Partners with Seasons Future Farm for New Vertical Farming Initiative
On February 13, YesHealth Group announced a strategic collaboration with Taichung-based Seasons Future Farm to establish a large-scale indoor vertical farm in Xinshe District, Taichung City. This partnership is aimed at expanding YesHealth’s footprint in Taiwan, tapping into the growing demand for high-quality, locally grown produce.
The expansion comes as YesHealth’s iFarm facility in northern Taiwan has reached its full production capacity, according to Stella Tsai, group facilitator at YesHealth Group. “YesHealth iFarm’s full capacity reflects strong consumer acceptance and sustained growth in demand for safe, high-quality produce. Demand consistently exceeds supply, particularly in Central Taiwan, creating both an opportunity for capacity expansion and a supply gap that we are ready to address,” she remarked.
Building a Two-Hub Production Network
The upcoming Central Taiwan farm will collaborate closely with YesHealth iFarm, creating a two-hub production network that enhances nationwide coverage and strengthens supply stability. Tsai emphasized the company’s disciplined, strategic approach to expanding its presence in Taiwan by increasing production volume and enhancing operational efficiency.
“We’ve been steadily diversifying across various retail and foodservice channels,” she noted. YesHealth iFarm, constructed in 2017 and operational since 2018, has played a pivotal role in shifting consumer perceptions toward hydroponic vegetables, transforming skepticism to acceptance through extensive brand building and community engagement programs.
Future Plans and Regional Expansion
YesHealth Group and Seasons Future Farm are also planning to further deepen their collaboration, with ambitions to build one to two additional vertical farms over the coming years. “Our expansion strategy is not limited to Central Taiwan. Should the new facility reach near full capacity, we are open to exploring locations in Southern Taiwan or other regions with strong distribution channels,” Tsai stated.
The immediate focus remains on the successful development of the new vertical farm, which will occupy a 6,000-square-metre site with a total cultivation area of approximately 15,000 square metres. Construction is set to commence on February 13, with farming equipment installation planned for August and commercial production anticipated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Details on the New Facility
Under the partnership, Seasons Future Farm will manage construction while YesHealth oversees the design and operation of farming systems. The facility is expected to primarily serve Central Taiwan, enhancing access to fresh produce by reducing supply chain lengths.
When fully operational, the site is projected to produce up to 2,000 kilograms of butterhead Boston lettuce daily. To meet the diverse market demand, the farm will also cultivate a variety of leafy greens, including arugula, kale, and red leaf lettuce, resulting in an average daily output of approximately 1,100 to 1,300 kilograms.
Additionally, this facility will support business-to-business clients, such as major retailers and hospitality operators, while Seasons Future Farm intends to launch its own consumer brand.
With these efforts, YesHealth Group is not merely focused on increasing facility numbers but aims to build an interconnected system that contributes to Taiwan’s food security, agricultural modernization, and regional economic development.
