Grown Cattle
The better quality grown steers saw price increases of 15 to 20 cents, while grown heifers concluded with a drop of 5 cents per kilogram. Prime grown steers were sold for between 310c and 429c, whereas prime grown heifers traded between 300c and 410c/kg. Cows remained firm, with prices dipping by 3 cents despite a higher top price. 2 and 3 score cows traded from 252c to 326c, while prime heavy weight cows sold from 310c to 364c and averaged 338c/kg. Limited numbers of cows sold to restockers fetched 278c/kg. Notably, heavy bulls achieved prices of up to 340c/kg.
