With over a decade of experience in the editorial department of the esteemed German trade magazine, Fruchthandel Magazin, Kaasten has spent more than 20 years organizing the highly regarded Fruit Logistica program alongside colleagues from London and Düsseldorf. He also coordinates congresses addressing significant industry topics such as packaging and sustainability in Germany.
Among his many accomplishments, Kaasten is known for organizing prestigious industry awards, including the Fruchthandel Magazin Retail Award, which holds immense prestige among German retailers, and the German Fruit Award for exemplary departments. Additionally, the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award—often referred to as the “Oscar” of the fresh produce industry—is another key event organized by his publishing house.
Having been involved with Fruit Logistica since its inception, Kaasten also serves on the advisory board for over 20 years, giving him unparalleled insight into the fair’s development.
