Misset
, publisher of renowned titles like Poultry World and various Dutch-language agricultural magazines, has initiated a collaboration with the German agricultural publisher
Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster
, which publishes leading titles including Germany’s Top Agrar.
Strengthening Agricultural Insights Across Borders
This partnership between the two publishing houses aims to facilitate a regular exchange of insights regarding market trends, agricultural policies, and innovative production techniques. According to their joint announcement, the collaboration will enable practical expertise from both nations to be effectively conveyed to their respective audiences. An editorial framework featuring German-Dutch teams will oversee the cooperation, focusing on key areas such as crop cultivation, livestock management, and market analysis.
Learning from Each Other: Cross-Border Agricultural Practices
Given the international nature of agriculture today, the core ethos of this collaboration is centered around “learning from one another.” Key issues to be explored include: how agricultural production varies across borders, the implementation of EU regulations, and the support frameworks provided by national governments for their farmers.
Erwin van Luit, CEO of Misset, stated, “Farmers in both our countries face significant challenges. To produce high-quality food in an efficient, environmentally friendly, and animal-friendly manner, they must be well-informed. The intensive collaboration between our editorial teams will allow us to provide even more valuable insights to the farmers in our regions.”
Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals, managing director of the German publishing house, expressed, “Together, we will be stronger. For instance, we can conduct in-depth research on cross-border topics and publish findings more swiftly. This close collaboration is expected to create synergistic effects, enhancing the efficiency of our editorial efforts.”
Expanding Networks with Other Agricultural Media
Apart from their newly formed cooperation, both publishers maintain strong ties with various European agricultural media organizations. The executives believe this cross-border partnership will increasingly hold significance in addressing collective agricultural challenges.
Misset boasts a diverse portfolio that includes Dutch titles for the domestic market, such as Boerderij, Groenten & Fruit, and Trekker, alongside international titles like Pig Progress, All About Feed, Dairy Global, and Future Farming.
Besides Top Agrar, Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster oversees several important German publications, including Wochenblatt für Landwirtschaft und Landleben and Lebensmittel Praxis.
