National Fish & Chip Awards unveils top sustainable industry businesses
The National Fish & Chip Awards, organized by the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), has announced the finalists in the Environment and Sustainable Business category. These finalists represent fish and chip operators across the UK who have shown exceptional commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in their operations.
An expert industry panel has evaluated the entries based on criteria such as sustainable business models, employee training, waste reduction, resource management, and responsible sourcing. The top three contenders in this category have been identified for their exemplary sustainable practices.

Andrew Crook, president of the National Federation of Fish Friers, commends the finalists for their dedication to sustainability and environmental practices. He emphasizes the importance of sustainable sourcing and environmental impact across the industry.
He adds, “This category is pivotal in driving the industry towards a sustainability-focused approach for long-term success. The finalists are setting a benchmark for others to follow.”
Seafood from Norway is the main sponsor of the awards and the Environment and Sustainable Business category. Victoria Braathen, UK Director of the Norwegian Seafood Council, congratulates the finalists for their commitment to sustainable practices.

The finalists will await the awards ceremony on 26th February to see if they will receive the Environment and Sustainable Business award. The event will take place at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge.
