Norwegian Greentech Secures Orders for Live Fish Carriers

Norwegian Greentech secures orders for live fish carriers. Norwegian Greentech has been chosen to deliver water treatment systems to a series of new live fish carriers that will be built with MMC First Process as a complete fish handling system integrator.

Norwegian Greentech will deliver the treatment systems as a subcontractor to MMC First Process.

As part of its scope of work, Norwegian Greentech will supply a filter- and UV-based process water treatment system to each of the vessels in the series.

“By ensuring clean, high-quality water, the water treatment system helps safeguard fish welfare, improve operational efficiency, and minimise environmental impact,” says Børge Gjelseth, SVP Commercial at Norwegian Greentech.

Norwegian Greentech will deliver the equipment during 2027 and 2028.

“It is great to cooperate with a complete system supplier such as MMC First Process. They are resolute in their efforts to constantly evolve fish handling and processing solutions that manage seafood effectively, sustainably and carefully, and we believe that our water treatment products are a good match for their system architecture,” says Thor Valsø-Jørgensen, interim managing director at Norwegian Greentech.

Norwegian Greentech is a supplier of ballast water treatment systems and other systems for purification of water for use in the aquaculture industry and in the maritime sector.

The company is a subsidiary of HAV Group ASA, which is listed on Euronext Growth Oslo, Norway.
