Aquafuture Spain Presents Technical Conference Programme
Aquafuture Spain presents the Technical Conference Programme. The conferences consist of 7 round tables and 25 presentations in which more than 60 international speakers will participate.
Aquafuture Spain, through its director Juan Lijó, has presented this morning the programme of conferences and presentations that will take place on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 May at the IFEVI – Vigo exhibition centre.
Round Table Topics
The “Zona Franca de Vigo” Conference Room will host seven round tables, covering various important topics in the aquaculture industry:
- Implementation of the CSRD in the aquaculture industry: Addressing challenges and opportunities posed by the implementation of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in the aquaculture sector.
- Technology and artificial intelligence applied to marketing and production: Practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies in aquaculture, such as the optimization of production processes.
- Circular innovation in aquaculture: Discussing the integration of the circular economy in the aquaculture sector to minimize waste and take advantage of by-products.
- Future food trends: Identifying emerging trends in consumption and food preferences that affect aquaculture products.
- Alternative Proteins: Development of alternative sources of protein in aquaculture and advances in new ingredients such as proteins based on insects, algae, or waste from agro-industrial processes.
- Internationalization in the aquaculture sector: Strategies and tools for aquaculture companies to expand into international markets.
Conference Details
Each round table will last an hour and a half, moderated by industry experts and featuring four speakers. Simultaneous English/Spanish translation will be provided for all attendees.
The Aquafuture Spain Technical Conference will also include two Presentation Rooms for exhibitors to give commercial talks and present projects and studies.
International Aquaculture Exhibition
The III International Aquaculture Exhibition, AQUAFUTURE SPAIN, will be held from 20 to 22 May 2025 at the IFEVI exhibition centre in Vigo. With over 210 exhibitors from 27 countries, the event showcases a significant growth in international participation.
