The latest yarding at Dubbo saw an increase of 1900, culminating in a total of 6530. This mixed quality yarding featured a significant number of weaners, alongside a considerable presence of cows, many of which were in store condition. Young cattle suitable for feeders were limited, as were the prime grown steers and heifers.
Market Trends

The few young cattle available for trade were firm, with prime yearlings fetching between 398c to 484c/kg. Lightweight feeder steers and heifers saw a dip in price, decreasing by 5c to 9c, while heavier weight feeders enjoyed a rise of 8c to 12c/kg. Specifically, feeder steers ranged from 440c to 513c, and feeder heifers sold between 380c to 475c/kg. Young cattle for restockers faced solid competition, with young steers reaching up to 544c and restocker heifers up to 456c/kg.
Grown Cattle Insights
Prime grown steers and heifers remained steady, with a minimal increase of up to 4c. Prices for prime grown steers ranged from 444c to 466c/kg, while prime grown heifers sold between 412c and 456c/kg. Secondary cows saw an upward trend of 9c to 15c, and prime heavy weights increased by 7c/kg. Cows for processors sold within the range of 280c to 376c/kg, while prime heavy weight cows averaged 384c/kg, selling between 360c to 400c. Cows aimed at restockers moved between 250c and 340c/kg. Heavy bulls experienced a 20c increase, reaching 418c/kg.
