The market for young cattle directed towards restockers displayed a significant increase, with young steers selling at 608c and young heifers at 548c/kg.
Grown Cattle Prices
For grown steers and heifers, the market held firm, with prime grown steers selling between 390c to 497c/kg and prime grown heifers priced from 420c to 478c/kg. Conversely, cows experienced a decline in price, dropping by 21c to 27c. Scores 2 and 3 cows went for 250c to 367c/kg, while prime heavy-weight cows averaged 390c/kg, selling between 365c to 420c. Cows returning to restockers ranged from 242c to 385c/kg, and heavy bulls sold at 404c/kg.
