Haley Bickelhaupt Named Anchor of AgDay, Leading Voice for Future Farmers
Kansas City, MO., (March 24, 2026) – Farm Journal, recognized as the leading information and data insights company in U.S. agriculture, has appointed Haley Bickelhaupt as the new anchor for AgDay, the nationally syndicated newscast that delivers essential news and analysis to America’s farmers and ranchers. In her new role, Bickelhaupt will focus on daily coverage of agricultural markets, policies, and rural developments, with an emphasis on issues affecting the next generation of agricultural professionals.
A Promising Background
Bickelhaupt transitions to AgDay from her previous role at an ABC affiliate in Moline, IL, where she served as a reporter, anchor, and producer. She is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, having studied Agricultural Communications, and has also held the position of Communications Manager for the Illinois Corn Growers Association. Moreover, she spent a summer in Washington, D.C. as an intern for Agri-Pulse, further broadening her expertise in agriculture-related communications.
Rooted in Agriculture
As a seventh-generation member of an Illinois family farm, Bickelhaupt’s agricultural roots are profound. Growing up raising Hereford cattle and managing a diversified row-crop operation has provided her with firsthand experience of the agricultural landscape. “U.S. agriculture is incredibly diverse and every producer has a story to tell,” Bickelhaupt shares. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join AgDay and connect with farmers and ranchers across the country.”
Driven by Personal Experience
Bickelhaupt emphasizes how her background has deeply influenced her reporting style. “Growing up on a farm gives me a perspective that helps me better understand the challenges and opportunities producers face,” she notes. “It is important to me that agricultural and rural communities have a platform in the news. I look forward to bringing voices that are impacting agriculture today to viewers nationwide.”
Leadership Transition at AgDay
Haley Bickelhaupt steps into her new position as Clinton Griffiths, the current AgDay host, advances to a new role as the overall content lead for Farm Journal. Griffiths will now focus on driving strategy and execution for Farm Journal’s multimedia journalism team, while continuing to make on-air appearances as a guest host and working on special projects.
A Legacy in Agriculture
“For the past 15 years, it’s been a privilege to be part of AgDay’s legacy of delivering the news that matters most to American agriculture,” Griffiths remarks. “I look forward to continuing this work in an expanded role, one that allows me to serve an industry that is evolving to meet the needs of a growing world.”
Commitment to Agriculture
Chris Seper, Executive Vice President of Farm Journal brands, highlighted that Griffiths’ promotion and Bickelhaupt’s addition affirm AgDay’s commitment to supporting agriculture and rural America. “AgDay is like American agriculture itself: staying true to its roots while seeking to attract the next generation to carry on its traditions. Haley brings authentic agricultural roots, strong journalism experience, and a genuine passion for telling farmers’ stories,” Seper commented.
