Market Update: Significant Drop in Yarding at Wagga Saleyards
Current Yarding Statistics
Total Yarding: 4,892 | Change: -1,008
Market Overview
Recently, the numbers at the Wagga saleyards dropped significantly, presenting a mixed offering of cattle. The yarding was largely composed of secondary types; however, select agents did showcase some well-finished yearlings and heavy cattle. Price fluctuations were observed across various classes, primarily due to the limited operations of export companies, which added downward pressure on prices. In contrast, a noticeable increase in restocker attendance indicated robust demand, particularly from northern and southern regions of Victoria.
