Save Mart Expands Flashfood Partnership in Stanislaus County
The Save Mart Companies has just rolled out the Flashfood program to 11 of its stores in Stanislaus County, California. This exciting expansion provides customers with discounts of up to 50% on fresh produce, meat, dairy, and other grocery items.
Initially introduced to California shoppers in March 2024, Flashfood marked a significant milestone as the state’s first retailer to engage in this initiative. The ongoing partnership has expanded to numerous locations, effectively diverting thousands of pounds of food away from landfills while enabling shoppers to save money.
Benefits of Flashfood
“This expansion into the greater Stanislaus County area marks another important step in making fresh, quality food accessible to more communities,” expressed Jordan Schenck, CEO of Flashfood. He emphasized the importance of affordability in a region that contributes immensely to California’s fresh produce supply.
Using the free Flashfood app, shoppers can easily browse discounted products available at participating Save Mart stores, make purchases, and conveniently pick up their orders in-store.
Future Enhancements
Later in the year, Flashfood will implement SNAP EBT as a payment method at Save Mart locations, creating additional savings for the 4.6 million SNAP customers residing in California.
“At The Save Mart Companies, we’re committed to providing innovative solutions that help families save on nutritious meals,” said Tamara Pattison, SVP and Chief Digital Officer. She added, “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Flashfood across Stanislaus County and beyond, offering even more ways for our communities to eat healthy and save money.”
