Dr. Erin Silva serves as an Associate Professor and State Extension Specialist in Organic and Sustainable Cropping Systems within the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As the Director of the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Dr. Silva is at the forefront of agricultural research and education that aims to promote sustainable practices in farming.

A Journey Through Academia

Dr. Silva’s academic journey began with a PhD in Horticulture from Washington State University. Following her graduation, she accepted a faculty position at New Mexico State University (NMSU), where she made significant strides in the field of organic agriculture.
