Market Overview
NLRS Commentary:
Despite the shorter week, agents managed to yard 8,472 head, with cattle sourced from NSW and various Queensland districts. This yarding included over 1,000 cows and good runs of feeders and backgrounders. Although regular buyers were present, they exhibited selective purchasing habits. Consequently, the market did not maintain the levels of the previous sale, resulting in some categories losing 20c to 40c/kg for plainer types.

Yearling steers under 200kg topped at 544c/kg; yearling steers from 200-280kg sold from 300c to 536c/kg. Prices ranged up to 568c for yearling steers from 280 to 330kg, and steer weights from 330 to 400kg fetched between 323c to 514c/kg.

Yearling heifers under 200kg reached 436c/kg while those from 200 to 280kg were sold between 340c to 392c/kg. The 330-400kg range saw prices from 260c to 388c/kg.
