SeaQureFarming Group Acquires Dawnfresh Farming from Mowi
SeaQureFarming Group Ltd, a new company created by Stewart Graham of Inverness, has acquired Dawnfresh Farming from Mowi. The acquisition includes the remaining trout farming assets of Dawnfresh Farming, securing the future of its operations and staff.
SeaQureFarming Group aims to utilize Gael Force Group’s SeaQureFarm™ semi-closed containment farming system in their Scottish fish farming operation. Existing operations and employees from Dawnfresh Farming will be retained, with additional roles being created.
This strategic move not only preserves jobs at Dawnfresh Farming but also ensures the continuation of quality products in the market. Stewart Graham expressed his excitement about the deal, emphasizing the potential for growth and development within the company.
Ben Hadfield, Mowi Scotland COO, commended the acquisition, highlighting the importance of retaining the Dawnfresh team and the potential for expansion under the new ownership.
Stewart Graham’s Vision
Stewart Graham, founder of Gael Force Group and SeaQureFarming Group, outlined the company’s long-term strategy to deploy the SeaQureFarm™ system on their sites, with plans to establish additional SeaQureFarming locations in the future.
He stated, “We are delighted to have agreed this deal with Mowi which will deliver on multiple strategic objectives for us. Firstly, and most importantly, we will secure the jobs and the long-term future of Dawnfresh Farming’s operations and those joining us from Mowi.”
Graham added, “Secondly, we will preserve the position of the Dawnfresh product in the market and seek to grow capacity, building lasting long-term supply relationships with existing and new customers alike.”
