Embark on a Culinary Journey: The Plymouth Seafood Tour Returns This October
The Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association (PFSA) is excited to announce the revival of the popular Plymouth Seafood Tour, happening from October 3rd to 18th, 2025. This two-week event celebrates the connection between fresh, local seafood and the vibrant culinary scene of Plymouth, inviting both locals and visitors to experience the unmatched taste and quality of seafood harvested directly from the Plymouth fishing fleet.
As part of PFSA’s initiative titled “Choose Local, Go Wild,” this year’s tour promises an immersive seafood discovery experience that showcases the remarkable efforts of Plymouth’s dedicated fishermen and women. It will also emphasize the journeys and stories behind every delectable dish served.
Discover Local Flavors
Throughout the two-week festival, various restaurants, pubs, and markets across the city will present exclusive menus and pop-up events spotlighting a variety of wild-caught fish and shellfish sourced from Plymouth. This initiative aims to educate diners about the freshness and sustainability of local seafood while adding a unique flavor to their dining experience.
“Plymouth has a rich fishing heritage that we are incredibly proud of,” stated Edward Baker, Chair of PFSA. “The Seafood Tour gives us the opportunity to highlight the exceptional produce available right at our doorstep, as well as the hardworking individuals who contribute to our local economy.”
Engage with the Fishing Community
This year, attendees will have a chance to interact directly with the local fishing community through storytelling sessions and informal meet-and-greet opportunities at key venues around Plymouth and its surrounding areas. This is a unique chance to learn about the life at sea and the dedication required to bring fresh seafood to our plates.
Whether you’re an avid seafood enthusiast or someone looking to explore new culinary horizons, the Plymouth Seafood Tour offers a delicious and impactful way to support local fisheries, enjoy sustainably sourced food, and honor one of the UK’s most historic fishing ports.
