FOODMatch’s signature
brand, Divina, has begun to roll out “Regeneratively Farmed” claims on many of
your favorite Divina olives, antipasti, and spreads. This is paired with a QR
code that will provide information on the specific regeneratively-farmed
ingredients that are a part any given product. Many products with the regenerative
claim have already hit shelves, and FOODMatch anticipates that will continue
into the first few months of the new year. The first round of verification
includes over 40 Divina products.
Join Divina as they
exhibit during the Winter Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas at Booth #3231. Interested
show attendees are encouraged to stop by the FOODMatch booth to see the new
labels in person.
FOODMatch defines the
practice of regenerative agriculture as the use of farming techniques that
nourish the soil and benefit the surrounding ecosystem, including the insects,
animals, and people living on or around the farmland.
FOODMatch works
directly with the farmers, so when a regenerative claim is made for a Divina
product, that means that all or most of these core regenerative principles have
been vetted and are true for the given ingredient: supports biodiversity,
minimizes soil disturbance, maintains responsible planting and harvesting
practices, minimizes chemical inputs, utilizes responsible water management,
and validates soil health through soil testing.
