Grown Cattle Performance
The grown cattle sector also shows positive signs, with grown steers and heifers priced 15 cents higher than last week. The prime grown steers are selling between 423c and 482c/kg, while grown heifers are priced from 410c to 484c/kg. Cows are also commanding higher prices, now up by 10 to 15 cents, with 2 and 3 score cows to processors being sold for 310c to 388c/kg. Prime heavyweight cows range from 372c to 414c, averaging 395c/kg, while cows directed to restockers are selling between 234c and 340c/kg. Heavy bulls have seen a peak price of 410c/kg.
