Future International Research Projects in Latin America and India to Be Highlighted at Upcoming Wild Alaska Pollock Annual Meeting
Market Development Initiatives in Brazil, Colombia, and India
The Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) is set to showcase its significant market development efforts in Brazil, Colombia, and India at the upcoming Wild Alaska Pollock Annual Meeting. Scheduled for September 18 at the W Hotel in Seattle, this meeting will unveil the initial findings of a comprehensive market research project, supported by substantial federal research and promotion grants awarded earlier this year.
Insights on International Market Expansion
“With participation from some of our largest members who are either active or starting to explore these markets, we see immense growth potential for our industry,” remarked Craig Morris, GAPP’s Chief Executive Officer. “Thanks to the generous grants from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), we can conduct essential research to identify common barriers and develop strategies to overcome them through targeted marketing, education, and outreach efforts.”
Research Presentation and Expert Discussions
Dr. Craig Morris will lead a presentation on the research projects aimed at Brazil, Colombia, and India. The event will also feature insights from Leonardo Silveira of River Global, a market research consultancy with extensive experience in commodity promotion in Latin America. USDA grant officials will also attend the meeting, providing an opportunity for participants to engage with them directly.
A Commitment to Long-Term Success
“Expanding into international markets is integral to the long-term success of our industry, which has always been a fundamental aspect of GAPP’s strategic approach,” said Morris. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the USDA and our member companies who are pioneering entry into new markets for Wild Alaska Pollock in its various forms. I look forward to sharing current insights and what we hope to learn during the meeting on September 18.”
