Light Steers and Feeders
Light steers destined for feeding showed a significant increase, ranging from 396c to 496c/kg. Feeders weighing between 280 to 330 kg also saw a slight rise, with prices between 370c to 399c/kg. Medium feeders experienced a notable gain of 32c/kg, now priced between 340c to 480c/kg, while those up to 480 kg rose by 9c/kg, landing between 326c to 476c/kg. Heavy feeders increased by 15c/kg, pricing at 375c to 460c/kg.
Heifers
Light background heifers improved by 15c/kg, now priced from 235c to 414c/kg. Medium feeders climbed 10c/kg higher, with prices ranging from 330c to 409c/kg. However, similar weight heifers saw a decrease of 35c/kg, priced between 276c to 365c/kg, notably influenced by the presence of plainer conditioned drafts affecting overall averages.
Grown Steers and Heifers
Grown steers for processing are currently priced from 326c to 355c/kg, while grown heifers also for processing improved by 19c/kg, now reaching between 324c to 356c/kg. Heavy cows saw an increase of up to 15c/kg, with prices ranging from 245c to 350c/kg.
Bulls
Heavy bulls gained 25c/kg, reaching a price range of 278c to 340c/kg.
