Yearling steers weighing between 200-280kg to restockers fetched 535c/kg. Those exceeding 280kg achieved prices from 550c up to an average of 514c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers for backgrounding were priced at 564c, with an average of 533c/kg.
Yearling Heifers
Meanwhile, medium weight yearling heifers going to feed sold for 474c/kg, while those intended for backgrounding secured 490c/kg with an average of 469c/kg. The heavy yearling heifers to feed reached prices up to 490c, averaging between 455c to 480c/kg.
Grown Steers and Heifers
In the grown cattle segment, steers for feed made 496c and averaged 477c/kg. Bullocks intended for processors sold for 432c/kg, while grown heifers were priced at 450c, averaging 420c/kg.
Cows and Bulls
Lightweight score 2 cows to processors sold for 366c, averaging 353c/kg. Heavy score 3 cows achieved 400c, averaging 352c, with top-quality heavy cows reaching 421c and averaging 400c/kg. Heavy bulls sold with an average of 323c and reached up to 350c/kg.
