Bill DiMento Joins Seafood Nutrition Partnership Board
High Liner Foods has recently announced the appointment of Bill DiMento to the board of directors of the Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP). This not-for-profit organization, established in 2013, is dedicated to promoting health through increased seafood consumption.
Career Path and Contributions
DiMento has been a fundamental part of High Liner Foods since 1987. He began his career with the company as the director of international food safety and regulatory affairs for Fishery Products International—a division that later became known as High Liner Foods. In January 2018, he was promoted to vice president of sustainability and government affairs, a role he fulfills from the company’s U.S. corporate office located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
With a strong focus on corporate sustainability initiatives, DiMento has been instrumental in expanding High Liner’s range of certified sustainable products. His efforts have also led to significant reductions in source packaging and food waste, as well as lowered energy and water consumption across the organization, as recognized by the SNP.
Leadership Changes in SNP
The SNP has also seen changes in its leadership, appointing Jason Driskill, vice president of seafood for Texas-based retailer H-E-B, as the new chair of its board of directors in February 2025. Alongside him, Gustavo Lara, managing director for seafood at Cargill’s Food Enterprise, was named vice chair of the board.
Looking Ahead
As DiMento joins the SNP board, his extensive experience and commitment to sustainable practices will play a critical role in advancing the organization’s goals of enhancing public health through seafood consumption.
