Seafood Expo Global Announces Finalists for 2025 Seafood Excellence Global Awards
The highly anticipated Seafood Expo Global has unveiled the finalists for the prestigious 2025 Seafood Excellence Global Awards. Out of the numerous submissions received, 40 exceptional products have been selected as finalists, with 9 products catering to the HORECA sector and 31 products targeted at retail.
Representing 15 countries from across the globe, the competition finalists are set to be recognized and celebrated during the 31st edition of the Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, Spain on Tuesday, 6 May 2025.
Organized by Diversified, the Seafood Excellence Global awards competition is a highlight of the Expo, showcasing the best seafood products and highlighting industry trends. All entered products will be prominently displayed during the event at the Seafood Excellence Global stand located in Galleria, between halls 4 and 5.
Excitement is building as two grand prizes will be awarded for the Best Retail Product and the Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product. Additionally, four special awards will recognize innovation, convenience, retail packaging, and seafood product line.
Among the finalists in the HORECA category are:
- Espersen A/S – Prawn Burger (Denmark)
- Crustalicious BV – Raw Crab Paste (Netherlands)
- Freshpack – Breaded Shrimp with Tom Yam Sauce Filling (France)
- GlobeXplore – Flavor Beads “Intense” (France)
- Golden Eagle Black Cod – Farmed Black Cod (Canada)
While the finalists in the Retail category include products such as Fish ‘n’ Chips from Espersen A/S (Denmark) and Noodles with Prawns, Mushrooms and Oyster Sauce from Angulas Aguinaga, SAU (Spain), among others.
