These “USDA Foods” are essential components of the nation’s food safety net and are distributed through various USDA nutrition assistance programs, including The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

Commodities to be Purchased

The USDA AMS will allocate the $30 million to the following fresh fruits:

• Fresh Oranges: $15 million
• Grapefruit: $10 million
• Mandarins: $5 million
