Krasdale Foods has selected a warehouse management system from Made4net to modernize distribution operations at its primary facility in the Bronx, New York.

Made4Net’s WarehouseExpert WMS will replace Krasdale’s current warehouse and order management technology. The Made4net solution is expected to provide greater operational visibility, improved inventory control and a scalable foundation for future automation.

Krasdale’s 330,000‑square‑foot distribution center in the Bronx supplies grocery, general merchandise, and health and beauty products to more than 3,000 independent retail locations in the metro New York region. Banners include C‑Town, Bravo, Aim, Market Fresh, Shop Smart Food Markets and Stop 1 Food Mart.

Taking care of its ‘backbone’

“Our distribution center is the backbone of everything we do for our retail partners,” said Gus Lebiak, president and COO of Krasdale Foods, a family‑owned company that has served independent grocers for 118 years.

A real-time solution

WarehouseExpert provides real‑time warehouse visibility, intelligent task management, enhanced inventory rotation controls (FIFO and FEFO), radio‑frequency and voice‑directed workflows, dynamic slotting and automated replenishment triggering. The system will integrate with Krasdale’s transportation management system, carousel automation warehouse control system and a planned automated storage and retrieval system for small‑goods picking.
