C&T Product Wholesale Recalls Over 1,000 Pounds of Siluriformes Fish Products
C&T Product Wholesale, a Houston, Texas-based importer operating as L&V Food Supply, has issued a recall for 1,152 pounds of siluriformes fish products.
Siluriformes, commonly known as catfish in the United States, is subject to inspection by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). During a routine FSIS inspection at a retail store in California, investigators discovered peppered dried catfish products that were “produced by an establishment in Vietnam that is not authorized to export siluriformes fish to the United States.”

These peppered dried fish products were packaged in two-pound cardboard boxes and distributed in several US states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
Although there have been no reported adverse reactions from consumers who have consumed the product, the USDA advises individuals who have purchased the affected product to either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.
